South Korea has detected 4,155 cases of COVID over the past day, a record high since the start of the pandemic. The total number of infections has reached 425,064, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

Some 1,734 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Seoul, and another 1,184 cases in central Gyeonggi province, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) reported.

Over the past day, 34 more COVID patients have died, which is also the highest figure since July. A total of 3,362 people (0.79%) died with the virus.
