A second train has derailed in the United Kingdom in less than 24 hours, this time in Essex, southeastern England.
Report informs, citing CNN, that the incident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday near the town of Wickford.
Police said the rear carriages of the train derailed but remained upright.
Officers from the British Transport Police, paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Preliminary reports indicate that no one was injured in the incident.
The cause of the derailment and the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
