Saudi Defense Minister meets US Vice President Vance

Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman Al Saud held talks in Washington with US Vice President JD Vance.

According to Report, citing CNN, the two officials discussed the results of joint strikes on Iran-linked facilities in Iraq, the protection of Saudi infrastructure, and the future trajectory of Middle East conflicts.

Sources noted that Khalid bin Salman also conveyed a personal message from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to Vance, outlining Riyadh's position. According to this stance, Tehran is expected to continue exerting pressure through pro-Iranian groups in Iraq and the Houthis in Yemen.

The statement emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains in favor of de-escalation, viewing prolonged conflict as a serious risk. However, it was underlined that if necessary, Riyadh will respond with countermeasures, as it did on Tuesday.
