Russian airstrikes on Kyiv on July 2 caused destruction in the city center.
Report's Eastern Europe bureau informs that 17 people were killed in the airstrikes.
The number of dead and injured is reportedly rising.
A day of mourning has been declared in the country. In addition to Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions also came under attack.
In total, the Russian army launched up to 600 drones of various types and up to 60 ballistic missiles of various types across Ukraine on July 2.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine said most of them had been neutralized.
