Russia cuts gas supplies to EU by 80%

Russia cut gas supplies to EU countries by 80%, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said at a joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Report informs.

"We were Russia's biggest customers, but it cut gas supplies by 80% in just eight months," von der Leyen said.

The head of the EC stressed that after the outbreak of the Russian war in Ukraine, the EU did everything to get rid of energy dependence on Moscow as soon as possible.
