Russia back to top five largest grain suppliers to EU

In September, the European Union purchased the maximum amount of grain from Russia since March last year, taking the country back to the top five largest suppliers to the association for the first time in a year and a half.
Report informs citing the Russian media that, according to the analysis of Eurostat data, the EU sharply increased purchases of Russian grain - by 22% per month and 10 times per year, to 180,000 tons. This was the maximum volume of purchases since March 2022 and allowed Russia to become the fourth largest grain exporter to the EU.
