Private single-engine aircraft Beechcraft Bonanza crashed in the backyard of one of the houses in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, three people on board were killed, Report informs citing the RIA Novosti.
The incident occurred this morning. The plane took off from the airport in the North-Eastern part of Philadelphia and headed to Ohio State University, which is located in Columbus.
According to police spokesman, the plane "touched a few trees and stopped in the forest." He noted that none of those who were "on the ground" at the time of the incident, was injured, houses were not damaged.
According to authorities, the pilot reported a problem with the aircraft shortly after takeoff. The exact cause of the accident is still unknown. The investigation is conducted by representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority and the National Transport Safety Board (NTSB).
