Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, who recently resigned, has declared that the protests, which included closures of educational institutions and roads, were organized from abroad, Report informs via Serbian media outlets.

Vučević cited the recent clash in front of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party office in Novi Sad as an example: "All of this is organized from abroad, there is no doubt about it. They struck at the most sensitive points of society - education and children. It is despicable to deliberately put Serbia as a state at risk."

He also mentioned that Milan Đurić, the head of Novi Sad city administration, has resigned.

Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević has resigned amid student protests in the country.

Student and opposition protests against the government have been ongoing in Serbia since last November. The protests were triggered by the collapse of a railway station canopy in Novi Sad which resulted in 15 deaths.
