The risk of a large-scale war is now greater than any time before in the past 30 years, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau has said at a press conference during an OSCE meeting in Vienna on Tuesday afternoon.
"We are at a critical moment for the security in the world and Europe," Rau warned. "The risk of a large-scale war is now greater than any time before in the past 30 years."
He noted that the escalation of a conflict around Ukraine means human suffering and serious political, economic, and military consequences.
Rau stressed the need for new discussions of security in Europe with Russia adding that he is upbeat about that.
