North Macedonia expels six more Russian diplomats

North Macedonia has declared six more Russian diplomats persona non grata, according to a statement released today by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian Ambassador to the country Sergey Bazdnikin where he was handed a diplomatic note declaring six diplomats of the Russian Embassy in Skopje persona non grata.
According to the statement, based on the information received from the competent authorities, these persons carried out activities 'contrary to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.' The diplomats will have to leave North Macedonia in the next five days.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Russia would take retaliatory measures.
