Nobel Peace Prize goes to UN World Food Programme

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2020 to the World Food Programme (WFP), Report says, citing TASS.
The 2020 winner was named today by Committee chair Berit Reiss-Andersen.
The Committee decided to award the prize for its efforts to combat hunger, contribute to better conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas, and act as a driving force to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict.
