Slovak MPs haven't yet discussed a proposal for a no-confidence motion in the government, as only 66 MPs presented themselves on Tuesday morning, meaning that Parliament wasn't quorate, Report informs via TASR.
The special House session with a no-confidence motion in the government as the sole point on the agenda was initiated by the opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS), Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) and Christian Democrat (KDH) parties. They accuse the government of engaging in a "messy" consolidation of public finances and of shifting Slovakia's foreign-political orientation eastwards. Coalition MPs from the Voice-SD and Smer-SD parties announced on Monday (January 27) that they wouldn't participate in the special session.
