NATO to continue supporting operation of Kabul airport

NATO will continue supporting the operation of the Kabul airport, with evacuation being the alliance’s priority, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said, Report informs referring to TASS.
He said that NATO is calling on the Taliban to facilitate the evacuation of anyone who wants to leave Afghanistan.
The alliance will ‘learn many lessons’ from Afghanistan when the evacuation is complete, Stoltenberg noted.
The 120-strong peacekeeping unit of the Azerbaijani army, together with Turkish forces, continues to carry out its official duties to ensure the Kabul airport’s security.
