NATO launches exercises with 30,000 troops, 220 aircraft

NATO military exercises "Cold Response 2022" have started in Norway, Report informs via foreign media.

Thirty thousand servicemen from 27 countries are taking part in the exercises.

As many as 220 aircraft and more than 50 ships are involved in the exercises.

The NATO headquarters said the exercises were planned in advance for defense purposes and had nothing to do with Russia's attack on Ukraine.

Russia was initially invited to participate in the exercises, but did not want to participate.
