The military junta that seized power in Myanmar on February 1 has recalled 100 foreign diplomats, Report mentions, referring to Anadolu Agency.
The country's leadership has ordered the dismissal of diplomats from 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, Singapore, the United States, and Japan. This was due to the refusal of diplomats to recognize the legitimacy of the military junta.
Among the recalled diplomats is Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar's permanent representative to the UN, who has criticized the military.
According to local media, dozens of Myanmar diplomats abroad refuse to work in the country's military administration.
Myanmar's ambassador to the UK, Kyaw Zwar Minn, has been banned from entering the embassy building for refusing to support the military.
