More than a thousand die of coronavirus in mainland China

More than 4,000 people have recovered from pneumonia, caused by the novel coronavirus.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in mainland China has reached 44,600, of which 1,113 people have died and 4740 have recovered, according to a statement from China's National Health Commission.

"On February 11. the National Health Commission received information from 31 provinces (districts, central cities) about 44,653 confirmed cases of pneumonia, caused by the novel coronavirus. Of those, 38,800 people are currently sick (8,204 in a critical state), 4,740 people have been discharged from hospitals, and 1,113 have died," the state committee said in a statement.
