The government crisis in France is undermining the country's plans to increase its military budget by 3.3 billion euros, and this issue could damage its relationships with defense contractors, Report informs citing the European edition of Politico.
"If the state encourages manufacturers to produce by telling them 'Don't worry, we will place orders,' and then can't place them, this will create a problem," the official said, according to the publication.
He also stated that amid the delay in budget increase plans, any cuts would likely affect investments in conventional weapons, as authorities "won't sacrifice nuclear deterrence."
