Man on shooting rampage in Thailand killed by police

A man who went on a shooting rampage killing three people and wounding three others in Thailand has been killed by comando police in a shoot-out, ending a 15-hour standoff.
Report informs via Bangkok Post that the man, identified as 29-year-old Anuwat Laemthong, started shooting indiscriminately from a two-storey house at the Krungphet Village housing estate in tambon Tom Mamuang.
About 100 special operations police officers were deployed to lay siege on the house, trying to convince the gunman to surrender, but to no avail.
The man's mother also tried to talk him into surrendering but the main refused to budge and continued shooting sporadically.
Anuwat was shot dead on the second floor of the house, ending the 15-hour standoff.
