Malian PM accuses France of training terrorists

Malian Prime Minister Choguel Maiga has said there are facts province that France is training terrorists, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.

"The Mali terrorists come from Libya, a French ally. We have started cooperating with France to fight terrorism. We have asked them for intelligence and air support. No one has asked France to send troops to the ground. They respected the agreement in terrorist-controlled Konna, Gao, Timbuktu, but on the approaches to Kidal, they forbade the Malian army from entering," he said.

France launched anti-terrorist operations in Mali in 2014. The mission is supported by the Sahel Five - Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Mali, Niger and Chad. Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that they would change the model of military presence in the Sahel region, and that Operation Barkhan would remain the same.
