Malaysia urges Sweden to take action against Quran burners

Malaysia calls on the Swedish government to take immediate action against those who burn the Quran, Foreign Minister Zambry Abd Kadir wrote on his Twitter page, Report informs.

“Malaysia condemns in the strongest terms the Swedish authority for granting approval to the provocative act of burning the Holy Quran on June 28, 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden. The desecration of the Holy Book, while Muslims around the world are celebrating Eid Al-Adha, is very offensive to Muslims worldwide and violates the universal principle of respect and understanding towards all religions and their Holy Scriptures. The decision by the Swedish court is sadly not a progressive move in our efforts to enhance mutual respect and understanding for the betterment of humankind,” he tweeted.
