A magnitude 7 earthquake has been recorded off Peru coasts, prompting the announcement of a tsunami threat.
According to Report, which cites TASS, the epicenter was located 250 kilometers southeast of the city of Ika with the population of about 246,000 people.
The source of the earthquake was at a depth of 56 kilometers.
There have yet been no reports of casualties or destruction.
