Macedonia can join NATO in 2020 spring

Baku. 13 February. REPORT.AZ/ “Macedonia can become a full member of NATO by spring 2020, though the Alliance will try to accelerate this process as much as possible,” a NATO official said.
Report informs citing the TASS that he spoke on condition of anonymity at a briefing in Brussels held at the headquarters of the Alliance.
"We expect that the process of ratification of the Protocol on the accession of Macedonia by all NATO countries will take 12 months, in other words, the country can become a member of the Alliance by next spring," the source said.
The Prespan agreement on renaming the Republic of Macedonia in the Republic of North officially came into force earlier.
