Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, by his decree, has transformed the country’s government into a cabinet of ministers, Report informs referring to the press service of the head of state.
According to the new constitution of Kyrgyzstan, ‘a presidential form of government, a new procedure for the formation of executive, legislative and judicial authorities is established.’
"The head of state, taking into account that the government of the Kyrgyz Republic is considered to have resigned ... decided: to transform the government of the Kyrgyz Republic into the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, to consider the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic the legal successor of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic," a spokesman for the press service said.
In fact, the proposed innovations mean a return from a parliamentary-presidential to a presidential form of government - about 80% of the country's citizens voted for it in a referendum on January 10.
