Kazakhstan to impose 14-day quarantine

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has announced the plan to impose the quarantine in Kazakhstan starting from July 5. Report informs citing the Kazinform.
President Tokayev tweeted that the Government had imposed a two-week quarantine starting from July 5 (with the possibility of extension). According to the President, Minister of Healthcare Alexei Tsoi will explain the plan in more detail tomorrow.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China's Hubei province, and the virus has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
