On Tuesday, September 8, the Japanese government decided to allocate 671.4 billion yen ($ 6.3 billion) for the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19. This was announced by the General Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers Yoshihide Suga.

"These funds for 671.4 billion yen are provided primarily for the purchase of vaccines against coronavirus.
We have already signed the corresponding preliminary contracts with companies from the USA and Great Britain," TASS quotes the politician.

The amount for the purchase of drugs will be allocated from the additional budget, which the government approved to support the economy and fight the coronavirus.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Health announced that the Sputnik V vaccine's first batch had been released into civilian circulation.
