Israeli parliament extends emergency mobilization until October

The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of Israel's Knesset has approved a two-month extension of the country's emergency military mobilization.

According to Report, citing The Times of Israel, the extension allows the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to call up to 240,000 reservists.

According to the newspaper, such extensions have been approved every few months since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023.

The current emergency mobilization measures will remain in effect until September 30.
