Iraq starts operation to free Mosul from IS

Baku. 17 October. REPORT.AZ/ Iraq has launched an operation to liberate Mosul from the group Islamic State (IS). Report informs referring to Haber7, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said.
The operation to liberate Mosul was planned for several months.
Mosul is controlled by the group Islamic State since June, 2014.
