Iraq establishes military base on border with Türkiye after 30 years

The Iraqi Border Service established two military bases in Kishani village of Zakho district on the border with Türkiye, Report informs, citing Haber Global.
According to the information, this is a step taken within the framework of cooperation between Iraq and Türkiye to ensure border security between the two countries.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Iraq on April 22. This was the first visit of the President of Türkiye to Iraq after 12 years.
