India's COVID incidence keeps rising

Over the past day, India registered 126,700 new cases of coronavirus, which is the largest daily increase since the pandemic onset, Report informs referring to the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
India ranks third in the world in the number of detected coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, a total of 12.9 million cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country.
More than 11.8 million people have defeated the disease, and about 910,000 are continuing treatment.
The country’s death toll has exceeded 166,000 as of April 8.
The Health Ministry also noted that over the past day, 685 COVID-related deaths were registered in the country.
