IAEA chief: Iran gave unreliable answers on nuclear program

Tehran has, in several cases, either ignored the IAEA's questions about its nuclear activities or given unreliable answers to them, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, told journalists, Repot informs via Interfax.

"Unfortunately, Iran has repeatedly either failed to respond or provided technically unreliable answers to the agency's questions," Grossi said.

According to him, after a comprehensive analysis of the available information, the IAEA came to the conclusion that the three sites where anthropogenic uranium particles were found in previous years, as well as some other sites, "were part of an undeclared structured nuclear program" that Iran ended in the early 2000s. Grossi noted that undeclared nuclear materials were used in it.

A recent report by the organization said there had been no progress in finding the cause of the presence of undeclared nuclear materials found at a number of sites in recent years.
