House of Representatives of the US Congress votes on impeachment of President Trump

The House of Representatives of the US Congress is having a meeting at which it is planned to impeach President Donald Trump, Report citing  RIA Novosti.

D. Trump is accused of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment in the House of Representatives requires a simple majority of votes. It is expected that the entire composition of the democratic majority will vote for impeachment, with the exception of 2-3 deputies.

It is expected that the first hour of the meeting will go to procedural issues. Six hours are allotted for debate, during which Democrats and Republicans will receive equal time. The vote itself will most likely take place in the evening, local time.

If the House will vote for  impeaching Trump, the case will go to the Senate. If two-thirds of the senators vote for impeachment, Trump will be removed from power.
