Hamburg hosting 3rd Forum of Azerbaijani Engineers Living in Europe

The 3rd Forum of Azerbaijani Engineers Living in Europe has started in the German city of Hamburg.

According to Report's European bureau, the theme of the forum is Smart City Technologies and Processes.

The forum, held this year within the framework of the Year of Urban Planning and Architecture declared in Azerbaijan, is organized by the Alliance of Azerbaijanis of Germany and the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan.

Gunay Mirzayeva, board member of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis of Germany and head of the Azerbaijan House in Stuttgart, declared the event open. The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Germany were played, after which participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Then Altay Rustamli, chairman of the board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis of Germany, delivered a speech. Elkhan Sadik-zada, board member of the alliance and professor at Ruhr University Bochum, presented the main outcomes of the 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani engineers living in Europe.
