Global COVID-19 cases hit 2,750,000

So far, 2,750,877 people have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus COVID-19 globally.

The infection has claimed 192,207 lives worldwide, while 757,963 people recovered from the disease.

Most cases are in the US (886,709), Spain (219,764), and Italy (189,973).

To date, neighboring Turkey confirmed 101,790 cases, 2,491 deaths.

Azerbaijan reported a total of 1,592 coronavirus cases, 1,013 of which recovered, 21 died, while 558 continue treatment in specialized hospitals.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 210 countries and territories since then.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
