Coronavirus latest: Global cases exceed 19 million

According to the latest tally from Johns Hopkins University, there are now over 19 million confirmed COVID-19 cases globally, with over 712,000 fatalities and more than 11.5 million recoveries, Report says.
The Chinese mainland recorded 37 new cases on Thursday, with 27 domestically transmitted cases - 26 in northwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and one in Beijing.
The US now has about 4.8 million infections, and its death toll has exceeded 160,000.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China's Hubei province, and the virus has spread to over 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
