So far, 15,117,078 people have contracted coronavirus globally, Report says. Of those infected, 9,134,332 have recovered, while 620,033 fell victims to the virus.

The United States, Brazil, and India are worst-hit countries by the pandemic. 

As of July 21, 28, 242 cases were recorded in Azerbaijan, 19,939 of those patients recovered, while 376 died.

Turkey, which border Azerbaijan had recorded 221,500 COVID-19 cases with 5,526 deaths and 204,011 recoveries. Our northern neighbor, Russia, has confirmed 783,328 infections so far. The country's death toll stands for 12,580, while 562,384 recovered. Iran has 278,827 positive cases. According to the latest information, 14,634 people died of COVID-19, and 42,351 got well. The total number of people infected with the coronavirus in neighboring Georgia has reached 1,073, with 907 recoveries and16 deaths. 

Armenia has recorded 35,693 COVID-19 cases, 678 of those infected died, while 24,766 were cured.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China's Hubei province, and the virus has spread to over 200 countries and territories since then.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
