Global coronavirus vaccine rollout hits 5 billion-dose milestone

Over 5 billion vaccine shots have been made globally, with China and India responsible for nearly half - 1.96 billion and 0.59 billion, respectively.

Report informs, citing TASS's calculations based on the official statements of authorities and media statistics, that 5.002 billion coronavirus vaccine doses have already been injected.

It is yet impossible to determine the number of people globally who have been vaccinated fully since most countries report only the number of certified vaccine doses against COVID-19 and the number of shots made.
