Gibraltar government extends detention of Iranian tanker

Gibraltar’s supreme court has granted a 30-day extension to allow authorities there to continue to detain the Iranian oil tanker Grace 1, Report informs citing the local press.

“At a private meeting of the Supreme Court on an application by the Attorney General, the Court has extended the period of detention of the vessel, Grace 1, for a further 30 days and has set a new hearing for 15 August 2019.”

Earlier in July, the Gibraltar government arrested Grace 1 tanker carrying crude oil to Syria.
