In January, the omicron strain of coronavirus became dominant in Germany.

Currently, restrictions have been introduced in Germany, but they are much softer than during the periods of the first, second and third waves of the pandemic. They mainly concern the unvaccinated: those without a jab cannot visit restaurants, theaters, concerts, fitness clubs.

The country’s authorities are doing their best to vaccinate as many people as possible. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz intends to achieve mandatory vaccination this year.
