Germany's coalition agrees on new measures to support citizens for €65B

The ruling coalition in Germany (Social Democrats, Greens and Liberals) have agreed on a new package of measures to support citizens and the country's economy in the context of the energy crisis, totaling 65 billion euros, Report informs citing TASS.

The relevant document was circulated on September 4 following the negotiations between the leadership of the parties.

"The new measures will have a total volume of more than 65 billion euros," it says. The coalition believes that the situation in Ukraine "leads to higher prices for energy and food throughout the world." "The resulting rise in costs for many citizens in Germany is increasingly becoming a serious burden. No one will be alone," the document says.
