Germany may allow foreigners to serve in army

The German opposition bloc of the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Unions (CDU/CSU) has developed a document describing the prospect of recruiting foreigners into the Bundeswehr, Report informs referring to Russian media.

According to the text of the document, its initiators want to make military service possible for EU citizens living in Germany.

According to the authors of the document, such an opportunity should also be provided for foreigners from countries outside the EU. The main condition is their residence in Germany on a permanent basis.
