Germany halts economic aid to Afghanistan

Germany is suspending economic aid to Afghanistan, which fell to representatives of the radical Taliban movement, DPA reported on Tuesday.
Report informs, citing TASS, that Foreign Minister Heiko Maas earlier promised not to give 'a cent' to Afghanistan if the Taliban seize power. He said Berlin 'donated EUR 430 million to the country every year.' This year's budget provided for EUR 250 million in aid for Afghanistan.
