Urban mobility for people with disabilities remains insufficient, Director General at Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Birgit Pikkel said at WUF13 in Baku.
According to Report, Birgit Pikkel stated that people with disabilities are part of society, yet their interests are often overlooked.
"There are 1.3 billion people with disabilities in the world, and more than half of them live in cities. However, the mobility of these people is not fully ensured. All cities must become inclusive," she said.
