General Staff: Ukrainian army repulse Russian attack in Siversk

The Ukrainian military continues to conduct active military operations in all directions of the front line. Aviation and missile assault units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are powerfully hitting strongholds, warehouses and concentrations of the Russian Armed Forces, the General Staff of the Ukrainian armed forces said.

Report informs, citing RBC-Ukraine, that in the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian troops are focusing efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing towards the state border in the north and north-east of Kharkiv Region.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops did not take active actions but opened fire with tanks, cannon and rocket artillery near such settlements as Kharkiv, Zolochiv, Pytomnyk, Borshchova, Lisne, Ruski Tyshky, Cherkaski Tyshky and Mospanove.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops opened fire with tanks, cannon and rocket artillery near Verkhniokamianske, Starodubivka, Pyskunivka, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Hryhorivka. Ukrainian defenders successfully repulsed assaults in the direction of Verkhniokamianske and Siversk.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched artillery strikes near Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Pokrovske, Bakhmutske and Novoluhanske. They also launched air strikes near Novoluhanske.
