France may transfer Leclerc tanks to Kyiv

France is considering sending its own Leclerc tanks to Ukraine, Report informs referring to Politico.
“The subject is complicated and hasn’t been settled yet in Paris. But we are thinking about it,” a French official told POLITICO. “We’ll see what gets decided at the joint French-German Cabinet meeting.”
In December, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Kyiv wants to get tanks that meet NATO standards, in particular the French Leclerc. Politico previously wrote, citing French officials, that the Leclerc tanks had already been discontinued, raising maintenance and spare parts questions.
