France detains about 100 people for attempted riots

On the night of July 14, French police have detained about 100 people for various violations, Report informs referring to TASS.
Some 218 cars were set on fire during the night. Three police officers were injured in clashes with violators.
Celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of July 14 in France this year are taking place under unprecedented security measures. A total of 130,000 police officers and gendarmes were involved in maintaining order. In addition, special forces units, an armored group of the national gendarmerie, as well as helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles were mobilized to suppress possible unrest.
Enhanced security measures will be in place throughout July 14 and the following night.
