A former famous bass guitarist who appeared on stage with David Bowie and Sinéad O'Connor has died after spending two weeks on a ventilator at St George's hospital in Tooting, south London, Report says, citing The Guardian.

Friends said Matthew Seligman, 64, who later became a lawyer, may have caught coronavirus on a visit to his brother Simon.

Seligman shared the same stage with David Bowie at the Live Aid concert.

Notably, 114,000 people have contracted the coronavirus in the UK, while the death toll reached 15,400.
