Every year in France, 160,000 children become victims of sexual violence, Gabrielle Hazan, head of the French Office for Minors, said in an interview with RTL TV.
"We receive 700 reports a day of child criminal content being shared online in France. Every year in France, 160,000 children are victims of sexual abuse - one child every three minutes," Hazan said.
Gabrielle Hazan called on citizens to be vigilant and promptly report cases of violence against children.
"Every day, about 440 children and adolescents become victims of sexual violence. Of these, only about fifty are reported to the security forces," she said.
