European People's Party supports candidacy of Ursula von der Leyen for second term

The European People's Party, the largest political force of the European Union (EU), will nominate Ursula von der Leyen as a candidate for the position of head of the European Commission for 2024-2029, president of the party Manfred Weber told a press conference, Report informs, citing TASS.

"The European People's Party supports Ursula von der Leyen as a candidate for the European Commission presidency," he said.
