EU urges China to put pressure on Russia for complete withdrawal of troops from Ukraine

The EU summit participants have called on China to put pressure on Russia to immediately withdraw troops from Ukraine without preconditions, reads the final statement of the EU summit on China published on June 30, Report informs referring to TASS.

The EU calls on China to put pressure on Russia to stop the war of aggression, for the immediate and complete withdrawal of troops from Ukraine without preconditions, the document says.

China, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, has a special responsibility to maintain a rules-based world order, the meeting participants said.

EU leaders also announced that they will continue economic and international cooperation with China, including on climate change, food security and preparing to deal with future pandemics and natural disasters.
