The European Union and Switzerland announced today the mutual recognition of digital vaccination certificates, the European Commission spokesperson Christian Wiegand said at a briefing in Brussels, Report informs via foreign media.

Switzerland became the first country outside the EU and the European Economic Area to recognize the EU Digital COVID Certificate, Wiegand said.

From July 9, the certificates issued in Switzerland will be valid in the EU, and those who come from the EU will be able to use their vaccination documents in Switzerland.
